AVC Immedia Core Values – Passion

My first job was with PPL, the music rights arm of the record industry.  It was a great job, with great people and a regular Friday afternoon beer run to the off licence!  So this was working life – better than I imagined.

As a music obsessive I was thrilled to be a very small part of the record business.  I’ll never forget my excitement at being in the boardroom of MCA Records – BB King!  Lynyrd Skynyrd! Steely Dan!  But I noticed that some of the record industry people I met just…weren’t that into music.  I could never understand that.  Where was the passion?!

Anyone that knows me knows how passionate I am about the things I love – music, playing guitar, movies, books, chess, science, astronomy, whatever.  This delight is one of the greatest things about being alive.

And it’s why passion is one of our core values.  Doing something by rote or half-heartedly – what’s the point?  At our weekly management meeting we review content we’ve produced, just to enjoy the talent, commitment and yes, passion that went into making it.

We always want to deliver our best work, and we always want to outperform our clients’ expectations. Like every service business we agree SLAs with clients – and then ignore them, in the best way, as we aim to fix any issue just as soon as we can, never mind what the SLA allows.

Everything we do we take pride in, and that pride is fuelled by passion and the desire to delight our clients.
