AV Technician, permanent.

AVC is an award-winning creative agency specialising in film, animation, AV, and audio solutions.  We have an exciting opportunity for an AV Technician to join our AV department at AVC based in Aberdeen..  This role is a full time role, with travel opportunities, working away from our Aberdeen office. 

About the role

Our AV department consists of a very tight knit and high performing team.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside our experienced AV Technicians, to work with some big brands, and do some really exciting work. As we head into a busy 2025, we are looking for a new AV Technician to join our team, who can provide the much needed support for our upcoming projects, as well as bringing new experience, ideas, strategies and techniques to our team. 

This role is based out of our Aberdeen office, but the expectation is that you will regularly be out on site for spec and design planning, installations, or servicing our existing clients.  Due to the travel demand within this role, it’s essential that you own a valid driving licence.

There is some requirement to work away from home from time to time, as well as an ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends, depending on client needs.  We will always give you as much advance notice as possible should you need to work away from home, or on evenings and weekends, as we acknowledge that a good work life balance is very important to our teams wellbeing

AVC have a wide range of clients, however our AV Team do work very closely with leaders in the oil industry.  It’s essential that the successful applicant feels comfortable with working with oil companies, and with the potential of working offshore should the role require it. Offshore Training can be provided if necessary.

About you 

You will have previous experience working in an AV role, with experience and knowledge of AV equipment.  

Strong client interpersonal skills are a must in this client facing role.  You should be friendly and professional in your appearance and communications at all times. 

You will be a natural problem solver, responding quickly to unforeseen challenges in a fast paced environment.  We know problems occur, but we want you to come with solutions and think outside the box in order to ensure our clients receive a great service and experience. 

You’ll enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.  Some of our servicing contracts require boots on the ground, and with this comes some independent working. It’s important to know however that you’ll always have lots of support from our other technicians and our AV Installations Manager when needed.
