the brief

As part of an overall rebrand, Exceed created a new logo that was officially launched during an International Associations of Drilling Contractors (IADC) event in London.

They were looking to create a clean, modern and classy animated ident featuring the company’s values for use within internal videos and external presentations.

From initial discussions with Exceed, we discovered their desire for camera sweeps and pans, gloss and lens flare effects while also incorporating metallic textures.

Our Senior Motion Graphics Designer worked closely with their in-house graphic designer during the initial concept stage to ensure that his vision for the animation is in keeping with the style, look and art direction that the Exceed brand was looking to achieve.

Working closely with the client allowed us to follow a clear and defined production process, which resulted in a sting that was delivered on time and on budget. The client brief was very clear from the onset and this allowed our team to progress through the animation quickly with each milestone being signed off by the client. First draft visuals created by our animation team were met with constructive client feedback, which enabled a final animated sting that fully encompassed the new Exceed branding.

The final animation was used to launch the new Exceed brand and will feature across the company on a number of different platforms including all internal videos.

Working with AVC Immedia, and the creative talent of Rob Hancock in particular was a great experience, delivering on time and too budget an animation which has been well received. As a fellow creative, the willingness to collaborate on art direction and integrate our values – which make up the form of our new identity, with suitable drama for the piece, was as impressive as the technical abilities, response and support from the greater team at AVC.
